**Please Note The Following Important New** ***Information:***
The FCC is now requiring a(n) FCC Registration Number (FRN)
for all applications.
They are no longer accepting Social Security Numbers.
Prospective hams can register with the FCC and receive a(n) FRN here: https://apps.fcc.gov/cores/userLogin.do
As of June 29, 2021 the FCC is mandating email addresses on all applications. Per the amended Section 97.23, “The email address must be an address where the grantee can receive electronic correspondence. Revocation of the station license or suspension of the operator license may result when correspondence from the FCC is returned as undeliverable because the grantee failed to provide the correct email address.”***

1) If you have a license, bring a copy of your current signed license.
2) Bring any CSCE's you may have earned.
3) Bring a photo ID so we can verify who you are!
4) Bring the NCVEC Form 605, with only Section 1 completed. Also bring your FRN. What's an FRN? Hey,
you didn't read the important new information from FCC
posted above. So, scroll back up and please read the new
information! You'll be glad you did!
5) The cost for taking the test is $15.00. If you bring exact change it would be a great help!
The required "NCVEC QUICK-FORM 605" can be found HERE
|If you do not have one you may want to obtain an FRN (FCC Federal Registration Number) so you do not need to use your Social Security Number on your application. The FRN is a unique entity identifier for everyone doing business with the Commission.|
